Turn any tablet or touchscreen display into a modern, branded self-service check-in terminal for your lobby.
What is Kiosk Mode?
Kiosk mode provides a full-screen, guest-facing terminal where visitors can register themselves, sign legal NDAs, take photos, or scan their pre-registration QR code without requiring receptionist intervention.
Setting Up a Kiosk Terminal
Hardware & Browser Requirements
Any device with a modern web browser works: iPad, Android tablet, Microsoft Surface, or touchscreen PC. A 10-inch or larger tablet in a secure stand is recommended.
Pairing & Activation
Securely link your tablet to a specific facility location without entering administrative passwords on the kiosk device:
- Device Activation Code: Navigate to Locations in your dashboard, click Pair Device to generate a 6-digit code. Open
/kiosk/activateon the tablet and enter the code. - Direct Location URL / QR Code: Open the location-specific kiosk URL or scan the QR code displayed in your Location settings.
Locking to Full-Screen
On iPad, enable Guided Access (Settings → Accessibility → Guided Access) to lock the screen to Entrifi. On Android or Windows, use browser kiosk mode (F11 / Add to Home Screen).
Operational Modes
- Single-Company Office Mode: Visitors search for employee hosts from your internal staff directory with instant autocomplete.
- Shared Facility & Multi-Tenant Mode (Enterprise): Ideal for commercial towers and business parks. The kiosk presents a searchable Resident Company Directory, routing visitor check-ins and notifications to the selected tenant company.

- QR Express Scan: Pre-registered guests scan their WhatsApp or email QR pass in seconds.
- Camera Photo Capture: Automatically captures visitor headshots via the tablet front camera.
- Digital NDA & Waiver Signing: Touchscreen signature capture with legal timestamping.
- Inactivity Auto-Reset: Unattended kiosk screens automatically time out and return to the welcome screen after 60 seconds of inactivity, safeguarding guest privacy and resetting the queue.
Device Fleet Management
Track all paired kiosk terminals from the Locations management dashboard. View connection health, Last Seen timestamps, and remotely revoke access to decommissioned or relocated hardware.
